On Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's intention to return to Umno, Muhyiddin said he had offered to step aside as Umno Pagoh division chief for the former prime minister.
"When I made the offer, he just smiled," Muhyiddin said.
"It's up to him... who knows he may want to return to his old branch (in Kubang Pasu division in Kedah)."
Jebat Must Die
At the latest count, Ku Li has enough divisions in his hand. More than the minimum number of 59.
If Najib has the backbone to save Umno, he must challenge Pak Lah or throw his support behind Ku Li from now on. Muhyiddin had given his terms of war - support Ku Li or I will have to fight you instead.
Ku Li and Tun Dr Mahathir have given their terms of war too. Umno members especially the divisional leaders must prepare to go to battle beginning this November. The Dream Team of Ku Li and Muhyiddin has began to make their move.
Another Brick in the Wall
As any Johorean, Muhyiddin’s love for UMNO is unquestionable.
During his Menteri Besar tenure, which is technically the de facto Premier for Johor, the state experienced stupendous economic growth. Johor was ranked as the second state, behind the natural winner, Selangor, in its economic performance. When he left for Kuala Lumpur, Johor had RM2 billion in its financial reserve as compared to RM90 million debt when he took over. There many other areas of progress under his premiership. Under his leadership, UMNO and BN won all their seats.
