Superman yg terhempas!

Buat sesuatu, fikirkan dulu. Jangan kerana naik gaji atau menunggu arrears. Hinggakan masa depan diri, isteri dan anak-anak tergugat.

Kita bekerja dibawah syarikat. Bukannya syarikat bekerja utk diri kita. Sebenarnya, kitalah yg merompak bank akibat tindakan kita yg tak berotak...

Dear Maybankers

Over the last three months, members of the National Union of Bank Employees (the Union) have been picketing near or at some of our branches as a result of a deadlock in the MCBA/NUBE collective agreement negotiations. As we have highlighted before, whilst we recognise and respect the right of the Union to picket in a peaceful manner, we are disappointed that the actions of some of the members of NUBE have not been in accordance with the law. Previously, due to some of the extreme actions that the members had taken during the pickets, the Bank has suspended 11 staff pending disciplinary proceedings.

Recently, it has since come to our attention that on two different days at our Penang Main Branch, the following was reported:

25 staff out of a total of 30 clerical/non clerical staff who reported to work on the same day had left their workplace between 9.30 am and 12.00 noon for the purpose of seeking medical treatment en masse. They were not certified unfit to work.

A few weeks later, 24 staff out of a total 32 clerical/non clerical staff who had reported for duty on that day left their workstations between 9.30 am and 12.00 noon for the purpose of seeking medical treatment en masse. They were not certified unfit to work.

The above actions of 34 clerical/non-clerical staff from the branch had resulted in a serious disruption to the operations of the branch. Amongst others, customers of the branch were left unattended and the officers had to leave their respective assignments to attend to the Bank’s customers.

In view of the seriousness of the above, disciplinary action has been initiated against the 34 clerical/non-clerical staff, as they had participated in what amounts to an illegal strike.

Again, I would like to take this opportunity to seek cooperation from all staff not to engage in illegal activities and/or activities that could jeopardise our business, operations and customer service.
